Rochester VegFest is sponsoring a free screening of What the Health on March 17th at 7 pm at Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 111 N. Chestnut Street, Rochester, NY 14604.
What the Health exposes the collusion and corruption in government and big business that is costing us trillions of healthcare dollars, and keeping us sick.
What The Health is a surprising, and at times hilarious, investigative documentary that will be an eye-opener for everyone concerned about our nation’s health and how big business influences it.
Dr. Milton Mills will hold a Q&A after the film, and local organizations will be on hand before and after the program to offer information on how to move forward with a vegan diet!
Saturday, September 16th was a beautiful, hot day and we estimate over 1,000 people came out for Rochester’s first annual VegFest at Martin Luther King Jr. park downtown.
There were 43 vendors, nine speakers, and we showed the film What the Health. There was a huge raffle, kids activities, tons of food, and free samples. We heard from many people that they decided to go vegan after attending, and I think everybody found new favorite companies and organizations.
Everyone is looking forward to Rochester VegFest 2018!

Start the VegFest celebration early with a special ticketed dinner on Friday, September 15, 2017. We’ll begin the evening in the big tent at Martin Luther King Jr. Park at 5:00 pm, when you can view and bid on all of our Silent Auction items, including a Ramon Santiago print, a beautiful handmade metalwork sign by local artist, John Greico, and gift certificates to some of Rochester’s best places! Dinner will be at 6:00, created by the talented folks at The Red Fern, and finished with dessert by Happy Cakes. At 7:00, we will screen “Speciesism: The Movie”, followed by a talk by the movie’s producer and director, Mark Devries. Tickets are very limited, and can be purchased for $40 below, with proceeds going to help defray the cost of bringing some of the vegan community’s best speakers to Rochester VegFest – and many of those speakers will be at the dinner on Friday night!
Buddha Bowl is gluten free and vegan. – organic marinated tofu, coconut brown rice, sautéd kale, roasted beets, pickled carrots & cabbage, sesame seeds, ginger garlic tamari sauce.
We will be showing What the Health at 4:00 followed by a panel Q&A discussion (film screening event page, with trailer).
This is a film about how so many dietary recommendations are rooted in lobbying as opposed to informed research. Film starring Kip Anderson, the man behind Cowspiracy.
