Institute for Animal Happiness

Thank you to our friends at The Institute for Animal Happiness, for donating a raffle basket and free music download cards!  The raffle basket will include some of the vegan-message items they sell.

What is the IFAH?  Rebecca says,

“We create art and opportunities that encourage joy, learning, non-speciesist dialogue and positive action for animals that is grounded in a vegan, animal rights = human rights (Intersectional) philosophy. IFAH also creates empowering and fun message-wear that helps support our animal rescue, care & advocacy efforts – and has supported the efforts of many great organizations. We also make spontaneous gifts of our merch to hard working animal rights advocates in the trenches, because we’ve been there and know that a sign of support and a warm hat in winter can be meaningful when you are outside caring for animals or leafletting in the cold.”

Among many other things, they have recorded a song, Animal Anthem.

Miyoko’s Kitchen

Thank you to Miyoko’s Kitchen for donating coupons for our SWAG bags and a $50 gift certificate to our raffle!

Think vegans can’t have cheese?  Miyoko’s Kitchen says we can!

Their products were created by Miyoko Schinner, who embarked on a mission to recreate the range of flavors and textures she had once enjoyed from dairy cheeses before becoming vegan. Several years of experimentation culminated in the publication of her groundbreaking book, Artisan Vegan Cheese, which she hoped would inspire others to make their own.

Despite the success of the book, people frequently requested that she simply make and sell them. To satisfy this demand, she assembled a team of passionate vegans with expertise in different areas, and Miyoko’s Kitchen was born! Today, Miyoko’s Kitchen ships to all 50 States and is available in select retailers.

Asha Sanctuary

Have you visited Asha Sanctuary yet?  Asha will be visiting Rochester, when they attend the VegFest.  We can’t wait!

Asha Sanctuary is a nonprofit that rescues, rehabilitates and provides shelter to abused farmed animals in Newfane, NY.  You can follow along on their social media with what the nonhuman residents are doing.

Thanks, Asha, for donating a gift basket to our raffle!

Pitty Love Rescue

Pitty Love Rescue will be at the Rochester VegFest!

Pitty Love’s primary focus is to find responsible homes for the dogs in their care and provide lifelong support to the dogs’ new families.

They have a strong secondary focus on advocacy, information sharing, and community outreach. They routinely work with the under-served portion of our community to help keep dogs in homes by providing necessary resources. That includes but is not limited to: low cost spay/neuter, vetting assistance, training assistance, help with food, and collaboration to acquire affordable, non-discriminatory housing.

Thanks to PLR for donating a gift basket for our big raffle lineup!
