Yoga 4 a Good Hood
Yoga 4 a Good Hood will have a booth at the VegFest. Y4AGH strives to be a place of healing, peace and acceptance in the community.
The leader, Imani, is a pastor at Reformation Lutheran Church and a yoga teacher. She has noticed that yoga tends not to reach people of color or certain economic backgrounds. It seems out of reach, out of touch, and they see little benefit to their lives. She says,
“I strongly believe that bringing Yoga For A Good Hood into the city of Rochester will begin to address the issues of brokenness, hardship, struggle, abuse and self degradation and people will find peace within instead of always seeking something outside of themselves.“
Their yoga classes are free but they welcome donations.
