2025 VegFest Frequently Asked Questions

What is Rochester VegFest 2025?

Rochester VegFest is a free, family-friendly celebration of food, compassion, health, and sustainability. The festival features local vendors, inspiring speakers, nonprofit organizations, live entertainment, and plenty of delicious plant-based food to try!

Do I need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend?

Not at all! VegFest is for everyone. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, plant-curious, or simply hungry, you’ll find something to enjoy. It’s a fun, welcoming space to explore new foods, learn more about healthy and sustainable living, and connect with the community!

Why a VegFest?

VegFests are held in cities all over the world to celebrate kindness toward animals, healthy lifestyles, and a more sustainable planet. Rochester’s VegFest highlights the vibrant plant-based community here in Western New York and invites everyone to be part of it!

When and where is Rochester VegFest 2025?

VegFest is Sunday, August 24th 10am-4pm.

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free! Suggested donation of $3 gets you 1 raffle ticket with admission.

What raffle prizes are available?

There will be an assortment of raffle items from our amazing local vegan and vegan-option merchants and restaurants, as well as a chance to win a PAIR of Round-trip tickets on JetBlue Airways! Please stop by the VegFest booth to see all the options available and to purchase. You must be age 18+ to participate in the raffles (alcohol raffles require age 21+).

You may purchase as many raffle tickets as you’d like to increase your chances of winning. Every raffle purchase goes to help fund future Rochester VegFest events.

When will the raffles be picked?

The raffles will be picked at approximately 3pm on the day of the event. You do NOT need to be present to win. Winners will be called so make sure your phone number is legible!

Where is available parking?

A discounted event parking rate of $7 will be offered at Midtown Garage (270 East Broad Street Rochester, NY 14604) from 9-4pm on August 24th. Look for the Atlas Street elevator. Limited on-street parking will also be available in the surrounding area, and is free on Sundays.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs are welcome, on a leash please!

Where are the restrooms?

Restrooms are inside the small building across the street from Parcel 5 on the corner of Elm and Andrew Langston Way.

Will vendors be selling beverages?

Yes! There will be a range of food and drink vendors.

What is the Accessability of the site?
  • Venue is at ground level
  • Route of travel is slip resistant and at least 36” wide
  • Objects can be detected by person with visual disability using a cane
  • Curbs have curb cuts (on Main Street and streets surrounding Parcel 5)
  • Most direct route is from Main Street (if coming from East End Garage)
